Vacation Pictures

Come with me on my little trip....We passed up 3 pinkberry shops...then I said we REALLY need to see what all the hoopla is about...OH MY GOODNESS...Wow, YUM...we ended up having it 3 different times....soooo good!
Whats this???? A CHANDELIER hanging the middle of the street. WOW!! This is in Glendale. We went to check out the Shabby Chic store and found this too. So fun!
This is Huntington Beach. We went to the Beaches...3 times, so warm, sunny, clean!

This was wonderful. This artist group was painting the arches and the Lady was posing for the whole time...had a very "greek statue" look.
Well, did you enjoy my trip?? I'm glad I could share. One thing I really enjoyed was waking up and turning on the TV to watch a couple of the local guys that have been news people for as long as I can remember.

I'm home!!

WoW, We had such a wonderful time!! The weather was perfect, the ocean was devine. I can't wait to show you a few photos! I will be posting tomorrow...work hit me smack in the face today and I am sooooo tired...I need a vacation! lol. Thank you to everyone that came by to visit me while I was away...I am feeeeeling the love!! I will pick a winner tomorrow after I get a chance to read all my mail. A couple of hours before our flight home....the EARTHQUAKE hit. whahoo, that was a good time.Ta ta for today.

Vacation Time- Givaway!!

This is just a little thing I did, Its about a 4X5" little wrapped canvas. I tried out a few of the new techniques that I learned over the weekend...
So, you know, when I'm going to be gone for a few days ...I panic that no one will come by and see me when I return...so I am going to have a GIVEAWAY...which I will pick a winner when I return...yes, I'm bribing you again, to visit me.lol I'm off to California, my bags are packed and I'm ready to fly!!



This is the wonderful painting Stacey did, I wish I hadn't taken the picture on my red wall, I will do it justice when I return and show it in her room. There is aqua netting on the bottom that was put on with gel med then she used upholstery tacks that are not pounded all the way in, for dimension...a touch of bling on the vase...so darling!!

SO Much Fun Day II

WhhhhoWeeee!! Another awesome day!! Made even better having Stacey with me!! Her picture is fantastic, I'll take a photo tomorrow for you.
We painted, scrubbed, scribbled, antiqued, highlighted, whew...then we did it some more.!! I had sooooo much fun playing..cutting, gluing, and staining paper. I had to paint my little bird!

When it was done it got a bath of hot wax, then a little scrapping, a little ironing....
Finished!! LOVE IT!! (the wax hasn't been buffed to a shine yet)

OH WHAT FUN!!!!

1st day of class was fabulous!!!! Lisa is a real sweetheart, and soooo helpful!! If you ever get a chance to take a class from her, take it! This is totally not finished, but it is to the point I can finish later...and I know what goodies to look for when I go to LA...also, found out the Dick Blick art store is in Pasadena...guess I know where a chunk of my money is going.lol

Its finally Friday...what does that mean to me?? First off I will be going to our famous Art Fair at the park, I have been going for as long as I can remember. What Friday REALLY means...The next two days I will be taking my classes with Lisa Kaus...This summer I haven't had much time to get into my studio to create my little birdie creations. This means I will have 2 full days to have fun, create, learn something new, and take a class with my daughter Stacey. What could be better?? ( maybe the trip to Calif. lol)

We will be going to two Missions, The beaches on 101, Flea Market in Santa Monica, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Pasadena and so much more!!

Today was soooo beautiful. My hubby says "lets go fishin'" so off we went...
What kind of fishin' is this?!? lol he stuck it in the bushes!!

My little suitcase

I have had this suitcase for about 20 years.I painted it quite a few years ago. I love the size for taking to classes...I really think it is a breifcase
I gave it a coat of black paint. then slip slapped on tan colors then stenceled in cream
Stenciled checks on the bottom
Someone came to check out the fowers

I'm ready to go to class! Just a few more days.

New goodies

I popped into an antique shop that I rarely go into. Look what I found. Three pieces of beautiful lace and a baby shoe...ummmm, what can one do with such loveliness??? lol
I painted this old suitcase YEARS ago, I needed something to take to my Lisa Kaus class, so I pulled it down, emptied it, and filled it up with goodies to use in the class.

A splash of Pomegranate syrup, splash of Pomegranate juice, and club soda...stir real well,a small splash of 1/2 & 1/2 and a fresh sprig of mint.
Now on to business. I have been give some wonderful awards, I haven't had the time to post them, I do appreciate them. I find it rather overwhelming sometimes to think that you guys take the time out of your busy lives to stop and and take a look at what I put on my blog. Vicki C and

I Love Daisies!

Someone came to visit me while I preparing to take a photo. How sweet is this! He didn't even take a bite (it really is the other one that wont leave the flowers alone)
I am Waaaaaay behind on posting all the sweet awards I have been given this last week. I will work on that this evening...have you ever noticed when preparing to be gone a week HOW MUCH WORK it is!! I did get packed last night. Got a new swimsuit for the waterpark...did I mention we plan to go to a waterpark and act like 12 year olds. Gotta go...lots on my to do list.
