first let me say...I got mixed up and I showing you the pictures backwards...so here we go...
Lois, thank you for a day we will never forget!!! Stacey, Dean and I went to a farm way out of town. We pulled up and Lois was in the barn waving at us...so in we went....
Then then the star of the day...this sweet little one hour old baby!!! Soooo cute, it was so cold outside and it was shivering...Lois put up a tarp to keep the wind from blowing in and she had a heat lamp over the pin.
So here is what happened. The first baby was born shortly before we got there...so we waited around to see if the second one would be born...Mamma didn't want this baby...she would butt it across the pin. So she asked Dean to help her hold mommas head while she worked at getting some milk into this little one...Dean was shocked how strong she was...oops I forgot one of my pictures...I'll put it on tomorrow...anyway. while we were there Lois asked Dean to help her hold her head (the sheep, not Lois' lol) while she pulled out the baby...man...she stuck her whole arm in there and after a couple of tries...out came another baby boy...I've seen kittens but never a lamb. The sad news is...momma didn't want anything to do with them. I'll be emailing Lois in a while to see if there was ever any improvement...but if momma wont feed them, that means a lot of work for lois...and shes a school teacher too, so she is one busy lady. I'll share the wool with you tomorrow that I bought from her...and we got some brown eggs from her...yummm, we were going to have pancakes...but you know what happened to the bisquick!!!!

Sounds as though you had a perfect time! All that beautiful wool. And those precious little lambs, too. Hopefully, the mom will take to them; although, I think she may not. I'm sure if Lois has to help them, they will be fine. She sounds like a wonderful lady!
Laurie, what a wonderful experience!
I do hope mama decides to care for the little ones.
Diane
PS: The wools look delicious!
Oh how sad..hope all will go well. We had to bottle feed some baby bunnies when I was a kid - the mother was killed by a dog or something - had to buy little doll's bottles 9this was a LONG time ago) it was a LOT of work, but they all survived. Let's hope he Mom changes her feelings!?
Yes I know what happened to the bisquick. LOL. But what a wonderful day you had. Baby lambs, oh so sweet. I hope momma gets with the program. Love the wonderful colors of her wool. Lucky you. We have had a lot more snow? How about you? Sharon
Wow! That life seams wonderfully relaxing and organic. These are beautiful wools
