A Bit of Pink for Pink Saturday

This is one of those brassy gold plastic sconces. After priming it and painting white and pink
I think it is a lot prettier.
PINK crochet thread
I took this yummy cupcake...played around a bit...
After softening the colors, changing the colors, adding a little blur to the background, this is what I came up with.

This is great!

C...cat....C A T

This week it is the letter "C" for Alphabe-Thursday...I know what first came to mind, but then
I thought I should think about it...so, I thought about CARDBOARD...great for using in collages.
Oh yes...CUPCAKE...yummmm (from Whole Foods!!)
BUT...the FIRST thing that popped into my mind was C A T S. I made these two
felted cats to look like my daughters two cats...
Here is Poodie, checking out his felted buddy
This is Bug, checking out (attacking) his little buddy
Hope you enjoyed Alphabe-Thursday
If you have a chance go check out what others came up with.

Where Women Create

I just received this magazine in the mail...how wonderful to open it up and see my work.
It is such a thrill to see something that I made, put into a magazine. I highly recommend that
you give it shot.
These photos I just took so you could see the whole piece. I made this so I have everything
I need in one place so I can grab it and go.

Life is about having a bit of fun!!

I hope you follow along with me as I explore the world of digital photo manipulation...
Everyday I learn new things in Photoshop. When I want to learn something...and this goes
for just about anything that I want to learn. I find as many classes as I can, take from as many different people as I can, then I take what I learn and do my own thing.
I took my first photoshop class from Susan Tuttle awhile back. It was soooo new to me, it took
me forever to "understand" the language. I looked a photoshop books, it was greek to me.
Right now I'm taking the very extensive class with DJ Pettitt...I then realized there was soooo
much more and the wonders of Photoshop just filled my heart. Then I went to Boarders
again and read books. I am beginning to understand, the more I learn, the more I want to learn more.lol So, now with this next set of classes of Susans...it is soooo much easier and faster
I am in love with Photoshop Elements 8...what can I say!!

Vintage Retro Look...

I'm taking a new class from Susan Tuttle...this workshop was to soften a photo...
this is what I chose.
