DIY Projects

Heres the story behind this shelf stand...Its hard to find these vintage legs, Stacey and I were driving past a house the other evening and it "looked" like it "might be" a garage sale, it was rather a hodge podge of stuff, there was a little girl playing outside, so we figured we'd ask what was going on...as we pulled to the curb, we both spied these legs sticking out...Stacey went up to the adults and asked them if this was a garage sale, they said, yes, tomorrow...after a small conversation, they let her have the cabinet for $5. The cabinet was a piece of junk...we went to Home Depot, purchased wood, came home, Stacey whipped up this little cabinet in no time. How cute!!
Our sweet Poodie...yes, the one that "ate" my flip flop!
Below are the vintage plastic things that have all the little drawers
repainted and repurposed. They were Harvest Yellow

Getting Messy

I started with a 8x10 canvas that I heavily textured. Added paper for the pots and waterincan
I wanted it to be a messy style. I added lines with a Copic, which I though I could smear...I couldn't they dried instantly, so I just went with it. The flowers are acrylics, I went around the edge with paint on a credit card. I had creating this last night.

Another Square

pocket canvas. I cut the birdcage from a cereal box and painted it, the charm with a rose paintedAnother pocket on canvas. I cut the birdcage from a cereal box and painted it, the charm with a rose painted on watercolor paper and soldered, little vintage flowers and buttons, a nest made from from heavy thread. On the top is another clip on chalk board. I used fabric for the pocket, adding a strip of vintage lace, the little bird is cut from wool that I dyed
Here is a close up, I will be listing it in my Etsy
I wanted to share this with you. Stacey has never really asked for one of my birds, she was dying one of her tops and she asked if I had any wool to dye. I pulled some out, then she asked for my pattern and made herself a little bird, she has this vintage Viking glass, she dyed the lace and found this little tu tu stuff to put around it...how cute is it!!

I wanted to play around with my super macro...couldn't help enjoying the flowers that are blooming
Love all the stripes
Little tiny daisy's

I then added a wire hanger. The little chalk board is removable, it is just clipped on. I added a little watercolor nest. I just listed this in my Etsy. Let me know if you like it, I would love to hear from you.
