When I see your work, any of it, I think about that quote of Erma Bombeck's about when she sees God, she wants to know she has used all teh talent He gave her (I am sooo paraphrasing!) Laurie, Just taking a moment to catch up on the posts I've missed. First, the painting is simply stunning. What a gift! But reading about your daughter's past experiences with careless remarks, just made me so sad. I've had a similiar experience with one of my children and it is so disheartening. A good lesson for all of us to remember...words can hurt. But the better news is, encouraging words can also have a great impact.
I love that you're showing some of your earlier work! It's fun to see!
