I finished this sweet little pink birdie last night. I'm adding it to my ebay listing
This vintage cup is so beautiful. I cant make out the markings on the bottom,
there are a couple of crowns. It almost looks like Nippon.

Hi Laurie -
ReplyDeleteI love that new little birdie. The cup is gorgeous and you did such a great job putting everything together. As always, it's a true work of art.

Laurie, So sweet, once again. The cup is very unusual. Does it have any markings on the bottom of it? I've never seen anything like it in my travels. Old? Newly made?
ReplyDeleteHalf the fun is finding the vessels for your pincushions I'll bet!
Years ago my mother-in-law and I used to scour flea markets for unusual and inexpensive containers for the dried wild flower arrangements we made and sold. I still have a turkey planter that I found for .50 cents. We used to match up the style and colors of the containers to the flowers. It was so much fun. I miss her.....she was a very special lady to me. But I have wonderful memories like this. Thank you for leading my thoughts in this direction....

Hi Laurie :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the dog barf burritos didn't scare you off LOL
You are really talented! I'm still drooling over your last post with the cupcake ;)

Hello,
ReplyDeleteThe birdie is so cute!

Beautiful! I see the crowns too, but that's all I could make out.

Beautiful creations. My SIL made something very similiar for me a few years ago and I absolutely LOVE it. It's my pin holder in an old china cup/saucer.

Look at that adorable pink and white birdie pincushion! I love it! Laurie, your cute things never get old, you do it up so cute everytime!
ReplyDeleteOooh pretty - pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love your little pincushions ~ they are both so darling.
ReplyDeleteThe pale pink and green cup and pincushion have to be two of my favourite colours.
Hugs
