Here's my day. Stacey came over and suggested we go to Target, which is just down the road. She wanted to pick up the new release from Taylor Swift. Then the conversations goes like this..."hey, we're here, lets go take a look at their TV's" no problem, "Hey, that's a nice size" she say's", "Hey, its on sale!!!" "Do I get it???" (this was kind of a one sided conversation, and my name was Hey)
So after deciding she would get it...they were out, so they called the other Target which is a real pain in the neck to get to...and they had ONE left, we asked them to hold it for us.
It was pouring down rain today, which always adds to the fun.
On the way to the other Target, we thought we would stop on the way...at Walmart...once we got in there, the converstion went like this..."Ummm, thats a really good price on the TV stand" "I really like it" "I have to get something for my NEW TV to sit on" "you will help me put it together???right mom"....so NOW I'm called mom.lol
So we had the guys put the box in the car, in the rain...and off we go to Target (did you forget that was where we were going?) We got to Target and went to the TV's and the conversation went like this " Hey, I was just at the OTHER Target and they said you were holding a TV for me"....BEEP, BeeP, Store Room, will you bring out the TV for Stacey, BeEP, BEep, We don't have a TV for Stacey, she already picked it up." WHAT??? I'm Right HERE!
Yep, they sold it to someone else...so, the nice guy was soooo nice (it helps that Staceys cute) and said, she could have any other TV that was originally the same price...for the sale price...so, she picked out a better TV...the sweet guy said "ummm we're out of that one too" but he called back to the OTHER Target (are you following this at all???) and they said they had THAT TV and we could still get it on sale...
you guessed it ....off we go, back to the OTHER Target..(glad gas is only $2.09!!) Talked to the manager and he said...we cant do that, this TV is $100 more...so after we found the correct tag and found that it too was discounted, they brought out the better TV. Asked if she wanted an extra 10 percent off to sign up for the RED card...Whats a few more minutes in the waiting game, so within minutes she saved herself an extra $50...all in all, she saved $200 plus got an upgraded Tv. By this time her dad (my hubs) joined in the fun...
Off we went to Staceys house...box of TV stand, Box of "Good Deal" TV
HOURS and HOURS later we got the cabinet put together, Tv put together...a little pizza run (we deserved it !! ) we all sat on her couch (which she got for 70 percent off at the Z Gallery) and said..."When do WE get a new TV"
I'm home now, tired, and wondering how the day got away from me!!
I'm exhausted just reading about your day! But I know how it goes...one things leads to another.

Hi Laurie -
ReplyDeleteI bet the second Target you went to was up in my neck of the woods, especially since you passed WalMart on your way. Can you believe they sold the TV to someone else? Oh well, inspite of the hassle she did end up with a better deal. I hope she's lovin' her new TV.

You are a riot! I followed every stop, every conversation! Your previous post was funny too. I also have a collection of brushes and end up using the same 8 or so.
ReplyDeleteYour work is beautiful; thanks for the inspirations!!
