I found two sets of these bowls for my two married daughters, for Christmas this year. They had asked for them because they remembered having them at their Grandma's home. The sets were just like the ones that you have pictured. So much fun to remember back.
I love those bowls too. I remember my mom having a set. I recently bought the green one at a thrift shop. I'm keeping my eyes open for the other 3. Something about them is so cheerful.
I had a set of those that I bought years ago at an antique store. I just sold them on ebay not to long ago. Every now and then I am sorry I sold them but then I think the person who got them and was thrilled with them and then I'm ok I let them go.
I'm back for a few days and playing 'catch up'...fun posts and looks as though you have been busy! My mom had that set of bowls; not a clue where they are now; but, your pictures brought back fond memories!
Those bows are beautiful - you could frame that first photo - or use it on a home made cook book! It's PERFECT! I look for ones similar all the time - only found one small yellow one so far - but the thrill is in the hunt, right??
I have 2 of the BIG yellow bowls. I was so thrilled when I found them in Mom's cabinet after she passed away. I always feel like she's cooking with me when I use her dishes. ☺
Hi there! I'm revisiting blogs from OWOH. We have that set too, from my grandmother, as well as a bunch of the rectangular pyrex 'leftovers' containers, all sizes, all primary colors. Love 'em!
I just love bowls!!!! I have several sets I visited in my storage on saturday!!! Can you imagine how exciting it is to find that I'm not the only odd bit that likes BOWLS! I have old, new, ones to use and ones to look at. I just bought two Fire King pink to use in my Easter decor. My Kitchen table is to look at not eat on, hahahaha! I really like your set and have never seen a whole set all together! I am so glad you asked me if I had a blog and 2 other artist friends have turned me on to their blogs in the last few weeks, I found this post because I added you to my followings list! Look me up if you wish pupylov.blogspot.com I just can't wait to get the lovely bunny basket next week! THANKS! Lisa

ReplyDeleteThese are lovely and I am pretty sure I have seen some very similar in the UK. I have some pyrex and I like vintage tupperware and melamine too.
