Excitment...

Another exciting evening ...I was woken by the a familiar sound of a fire truck coming into our complex. We are in the middle and all the townhouses are around us. I had to pinpoint which area the sound was coming from..so I peeked out my office door...oh dear...I see a fire truck with an ambulance...that is never good....so I grabbed a pair of jeans and a jacket and ran barefoot outside to see what was going on...Just hoping their wasn't a fire...or that someone was hurt....so, what do I see...3 fire trucks and 2 ambulances and 15 guys... so I told them who I was and why were they here....they didn't know....Is that a good sign????!!! I asked them what apartment was it and they pointed..... thankfully the young couple that live there walked out right then...they were soooo embarrassed. They took me inside...their furnice got hot and burnt a wire, which is a smoke smell...(there were 5 more firemen inside)they called to have someone come and check it...not the WHOLE Fire Department. All is well, but now its 3 AM and I'm awake!! It is reasuring to know how quickly the fire department can get here!
