Few items

I have a few things I'm working on...I thought I would show you the "before". How many things do you work on at one time? I think its about 5 things at one time, for me.lol I've will be pulling out my soldering iron tonight and work on that soldering foil. The paper and rose were to bright so I aged them with brown shoe polish, it worked great. I'm also trying to get some items finished to send in to a couple of mag.
My lip has quite a scar on it...do you have any suggestions as to what I should be putting on it?
I've noticed after I have had a big laugh...I have some pain shoot through, that feels like needles!

  1. Laurie,
I am so sorry for the pain laughing causes, but sure hope you don't stop. It is therapeutic in so many ways.
I have no clue about what to put on your scar, but remember, those who know you do now see it, they see who you are inside. A caring, and encouraging person.

  2. I am so sorry about the lip scar, try talking to a pharmacist they have a product out that helps scars disappear,I can't recall the name of it,but it works my sister in law tried it and her scar is almost gone, she tried vitamin E which works too but slower.

  4. Mederma...I think that's the name of the scar-reducing cream. Something like that, anyhow. Sorry to hear you have a big scar on your lip and that it hurts to laugh...'cause I know you laugh a lot!

Thank you for the very kind comments on my post. Love you.

  6. Hi Laurie,
Vitamin E oil is good for healing and scaring. Just keep it moisturized will help. When I had a bit of pre-skin cancer removed from my nose...the Dr said keep it moisturized and covered. It worked...can't tell where she cut it out...
I have projects in the living room and family room and the TV room...
LOL...I didn't realize I had so many projects going...

  7. Hi Laurie,
So sorry about your lip scar. Cocoa butter works too and aloe vera might help.

I had to laugh about the number of projects going on. I usually have a bunch going on at the same time too. I get side tracked and jump around. At least it's not boring. LOL!!

Hope you heal and no pain with a laugh.
    Hugs, Celestina Marie

  8. It’s my first time visiting your blog. I was just hopping from one blog to another. And so I discovered OWOH!! I love all your works with the little birds on sponge. Your style is so unique. I’ll definitely be back later to check up.

  9. Huge Hellooooooo Little Miss!!!

Yikes I think I have been away for 65 years!! This is the first time I've had to sit down to my blog or to go a-visitin :) Vit. E straight from the little capsule actually works the best and is also the most economical. Same with Aloe which is also very good when it's straight from the aloe leaf. Some of the lotions with either Vit e or Aloe have such little amts that it's not worth the time effort or money.

The "needle pricks" is caused by the nerve pathways as they heal, regenerate and establish new pathways. Takes awhile but it does get better and for the most part disappears. My lip was split 14 years ago and when it's really cold I still get a stab or two. The scar surrounding tissue will lighten over time. Be patient it has only been a few weeks :)
