Thank you all for your concern. It was the judge that wouldn't drop the charges the first time. He also told the young man that he was on probation the rest of his life with a "no tolerance". So guess what....he will be having the same judge, that said he would throw the book at him..meaning the max. of 10 years.. The sad thing is too, my daughter is afraid that after he is sentenced he will try to commit suicide rather then spending 10 years in prison.

  1. Oh I am so sorry for what your daughter has been going through. At young ages they feel unstoppable and that there will always be tomorrow- making silly, often totally stupid and dangerous choices. My hope is that the young man will be helped and not have to suffer in the system- and that he thinks about his life and what good he could do - to waste that is just too sad.

I'm so sorry that your daughter is dealing with this with a friend. Perhaps she can be one of his friends who will convince him that, no matter what the outcome, there if life beyond the consequences and it is worth living. And waiting for!
