I googled So. Cal flea markets before I left. I choose "A Street Faire" in Torrance. Stacey found a Viking vase that she wanted, got it for $15 which was a great deal. Towards the end I finally came across this old washboard laying on the ground behind a box. When I picked it up he said $3 I said "SOLD" Stacey had walked ahead of me. When she turned around to check on me, I raised it above my head and yelled "YAHOO" she giggled embarrassingly.LOL. Said the people next to her turned around too. Staceys response when I got up to her and showed her my treasure. "OH mom!! I'm so glad you found a piece of junk to take home" and she laaaaughed.. it was such a good time!

ReplyDeleteI re-read your post and see that you have already left California. I was going to tell you to drive down my way tomorrow and go to The Groves for the Irvine Vintage Flea Market. Maybe next time you visit :)
Oh I love it! I have a couple that I treasure - this is a really "well-used" one - wish it could speak - oh the stories it could tell!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun find! You are having way too much fun in Cali! Love the ocean shots a couple of posts back! ((Hugs))!
