I just finished a charming little minty green birdie. I added wonderful vintage flowers around the pincushion. I hand dyed the silk ribbon at the same time I dyed the wool for the birdie. I added my glittered pins. I've been asked to list this on Etsy instead of Ebay...so for those of you who asked...check out my Etsy. TattingChic...take a look at this beautiful tatted doily that I purchased this past week for a whole $1!!

Little nest on Vintage shoe pincushion

This is my latest little shoe pincushion with a light green birdie...it's flying off to its new home tomorrow.
Look at the detail on the sole...so cute.
Thought I would use the little wheelbarrow for a prop before it goes off to its new home. It's on my Ebay if you're interested in it. A sweet gal Pat, sent me the most beautiful sea glass that she picked up herself. I'm so in love with sea glass.

New Idea!

A friend of mine mentioned making a birdie to go on the shoulder of a maniquin. What a great idea is that!!! So this is the first one, I'll show you another tomorrow. Anyway, I made the little pincushion to fit into the center of the wonder vintage flower that had other little flowers around it...how cool is that! I put a piece of wool on the bottom to help stabilize it. Well, of course, after I made it I thought of other places...like on a little childs chair, sit it in a birds nest. It can still sit on top of a tea cup, or just perch her on a shelf. I would love to hear other ideas! I put this little guy back on Ebay...sorry, for those of you who cant stand ebay...I will try to work with both the etsy and the ebay.
I also added this one to Ebay...I LOVE the handle on this...A little black rub on letter in the blank spot, wouldn't that be a neat thing to do. I used Martha Stewarts brown glitter for the pin tops,to go with the polka dots
I'm working on more goodies...oh yes, please check back tomorrow I will have a little primitive fourth of july birdie.......

Glimmer Mist Birdie!

Ok. I had to try out my new colors of Glimmer Mist. I sprayed the flowers with a couple different pinks. After it was all put together I spritz the whole thing with the gold iridescent. I didn't know which photo I liked best, so I put them both on. The top one I took with natural sun light shining on it. This spoon is sooo beautiful. It is a soup spoon and has a little basket of flowers. It has an engraved *F* on it. I think is stands for Flowers...or the name you give this birdie!!. Well, I did just put this on my EBAY.
I have been tagged...about the weird things about me...I'm working on it LOL. Just a preview...My last name growing up was...are you ready??? FRED yep! Fred. You think I didn't get teased about that!! The big question was...How do you spell it??? Not real hard!! I do know there are a few other Fred's out there, if you have that last name...I bet we're related!!. That's it for tonight! Have a great Sunday!
