I took a few things to work on when we went to our lake, the sun was so bright, everything looks washed out.

They came ashore to visit. Summer is ALMOST over... so for my give-a-way...
one more cheery little silver plate. Please leave me a message on this post. I'll pick a winner on Monday...Just answer the question...have you ever visited Oregon???

another day in paradise!!
The glorious weather we are having makes me dread the rainy season ahead, so we took advantage of the day and drove to Detroit Lake and then took off up toward Breitenbush and up, up, up to Elk Lake to have a picnic. For those of you that have never been to the Northwest, here is the beauty that we get to enjoy...
Trees, as far as the eye can see... We went so far up the mountain!!
At the end... this beautiful lake...what a place for a picnic!!
There were still wildflowers everywhere! I have to look back on my comments. Someone left me a wonderful comment about using Picasa to blog...it works great...but it will only let me put on 4 pictures at a time. normally that isn't an issue, but today I want to put on more...can anybody help me??

Out and About
Went for a little drive in the country...Silver Creek Falls, warm sunshine, light breeze..aaaaaaah
High on the hills overlooking the Valley, Christmas trees as far as the eyes can see. What a wonderful day.
Update on my evection. The wife called whining...wwwwwhy are you dooooing this toooo us. We plan on being gone all day tomorrow.

What a sad day, everywhere we went the flags being at half mass, a lot of remembering.

This is my latest birdie, Love the shoe. I used a crackle med. on the heal, then stained it with robins egg blue. I painted a little nest on the toe. I added polkadots with watercolor crayons. The rayon ribbon is vintage, I stained it using inks. I painted the hangtag to go with it. Its in the banner. This will be added to my Ebay. (ebay button on side bar)
Fall Goodies
This is a beautiful sugar and creamer from Bavaria that I'll be putting on Ebay tomorrow
Fall is on its way. I just picked these this evening. I'm using Pacasa to download these pictures, I can't seem to get it all figured just yet, I cut and pasted the bottom picture and it didn't leave a space.
The little Black bird on the silver creamer has only one day left and the poor thing doesn't have any bids on it...lol, oh well, we'll see what happens...it might be going to visit my etsy site.
A little bit more about being an apt. manager...its real quiet right now, no one is moving (nice!) Well, we decided to kick out this loud, obnoxious, mean man. So I wrote my boss (they have to give out the 30 day notices) Soooo, he will be getting his letter in the mail tomorrow...He is going to go bullistic when he gets it...yes, I'm a bit afraid...I'm not going to answer the door in the next couple of days...I'll keep you posted.

Another big laugh

She has retired to beautiful Mexico from our neighboring state Idaho. Please go visit her so she will keep writing about herself.lol
I finished another birdie, I'll put it on this afternoon.

No Photo
I laughed so hard today...heres my story... My sweet kitty LOVEs to scratch his face on everything...the cordless phone...corner of my laptop...the edge of a cup, the corner of my purse. Well, I was standing up at my table working on my pincushion. Now this small table was COVERED with everything...flowers, leaves, birds, glue, glitter, paint, jewelry, needle and thread, floss, container of beads that I use for eyes, wool, brushes, blush...ok, are you getting a visual??? So, as my sweet kitty came up to get a kiss on his forhead...he saw the stick (starbuck stir stick)aaaah yes! the stick...well, I use my stick to get the thick sticky glue out of the bottle..I put it in a cup with glue up...uh huh. yep, he did it...rubbed that wet sticky gluey stick all over his whiskers (quickly I must say) well, when he lifted his head and the stick was stuck to him....he freaked out!!! Yep...Acted like that stick was going to beat him, as he swatted and jumped...EVERYTHING flew off the table, the stick went flying, kitty went flying, after checking that he was ok, I got to laughing and had trouble stopping...Yes, he still has glue in his whiskers.lol

Apron Pattern, Stiching Patterns
This is the last day this little birdie will be on my Ebay...Pattie from Mexico...you are the winner of my little watercolors... I need your address...Did you get my Email?
I also put thesepatterns on Ebay...how cute is this little girls dress and apron
This is a funny pattern...but old
Pansy transfer design for stitching, listed on ebay
Vanilla Creme` Cupcake Pincushion

Well, this is one I haven't done before...funny how things can come together...first a gal that was moving out of one the townhomes asked if I wanted these glass thingys. I said sure.
Then when I threw a bunch of old lace in the dryer after washing, this piece of lace came out rather crumpled...so this was all sitting on my work station and I'm thinking...ummm cupcake??? Can I make it work? So this is what came about. I added a vintage millinery flower and lots of glittered pins...and a cupcake charm! The birdie is a pale pink. Its on my EBAY (link on the top right)
The weather didn't cooperate with us
Well, this is what it looked like in one area that wasn't socked in with low clouds
We drove a little further...the weather wasn't getting any better. I don't know if you notice, I'll point it out to you just in case...our coast is NOT known for surfing. But there was suppose to be a whale or two out there. Those of you that know or coast...Depot Bay (worlds smallest port)
This is what it looked like when we got up this morning. But this sweet thing was near by.
I'm trying out Picasa to see how the photos transfer. I did take these on high resolutions and they did transfer quickly...So that is a good thing. Not sure whats going on with her eyes. lol.

New Fall Birdie
I just love it when one of my birdies lands on its new home, and it all comes together... I think this would look so great mixed in with old silver, pumpkins, and leaves
I found this wonderful piece of lace to use, pieces of old jewelry, old buttons
The little heart looks washed out, but it is just charming...oh oh oh...I also included this little bottle of mica. I also did a little watercolor on a hang tag...a nest on one side and a pumpkin on the other. I love this old sugar bowl, it has the most beautiful soft patina on it.
I really need to work on my photography skills, everything looks washed out...I know one thing that I am doing wrong, I have it on the lowest resolution because I dont know how to downsize for blogging, if anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them....I just added this little guy to my EBAY button in on the sidebar at the top.

Bottles and Patterns
I love seeing "works in progress" so I thought I would show you what I have been working on...
I dont have this sweet little bottle cleaned up yet...
I was at an antique store downtown yesterday and purchased a whole box of patterns, I will be adding them to Ebay. How sweet are these kittens!!
This looks like a dress Natasha Burns would use be using for one of her beautiful paintings

I Love Fall!!

I feel like today is a new beginning.
I made some decisions, while on vacation, that I feel good about.
Fall is in the air this morning...I love fall, cool mornings, sunny days...aaaah.
The biggest decision I made was to not teach painting classes any more.
My heart isn't "in" it any more.
You my blogging friends are such a huge part of my life now.
I want to move on, move forward, do what I love doing.
I have bottles that I'm still working on which I cant wait to share.
I have cups, spoons, silver and glass that are waiting for birds.
I see all the pictures of "creative spaces" I want to get in my craft room, organize it into "stations" so I can be more creative...
This morning I feel energized and ready to get started.
I finished this gal last night. Hope you like her.
I also was accepted into the Lollishop group...yeh!
