A Wonderful Day!!

Anthropoligy

Today was my "day off" not sure what "day off " really means in my line of work, there really is no such thing, but after "working" for a couple of hours...it was time to start my "day off". So here is how it went, I had to go to Portland to pick up my pay check, so we made a day of it. My DH and daughter and myself...we stopped off to have breakfast at Panera...LOVE this place!! Then up to the middle of Portland...there is no parking, so I jumped out, and ran in as they drove around the block
This was on a store window...isn't it just the cutest!
Stacey was driving and spotted this cupcake store...we found a parking spot!!! yea!!

Yes, we each bought one!
Are you wondering what I'm working on??? Well, Somerset is having a challenge using a tin can. I had a kit for making paint turn rusty and one for giving it a patina...I wanted to see what would happen when I used both...I love it, I really have no idea what to do with it now.lol
On the drive up and back...I got a lot done. I turned and stuffed 15 little birdies!
I spent last evening adding foil and soldering a bunch of bottles, I found out that if there are little chips on the lip...just tape them up and solder.lol. But the best thing...It's suppose to look rustic!! Yes, finally, I have found something that doesnt need the smooth professional looking solder!! lol

This cup is so neat...this was at Anthropology too, then my battery died.
So, we had a wonderful day, and this cupcake will finish it off just fine!

Vanilla Creme` Cupcake Pincushion

Well, this is one I haven't done before...funny how things can come together...first a gal that was moving out of one the townhomes asked if I wanted these glass thingys. I said sure.
Then when I threw a bunch of old lace in the dryer after washing, this piece of lace came out rather crumpled...so this was all sitting on my work station and I'm thinking...ummm cupcake??? Can I make it work? So this is what came about. I added a vintage millinery flower and lots of glittered pins...and a cupcake charm! The birdie is a pale pink. Its on my EBAY (link on the top right)

Winner...

The winner of my little giveaway is Sophee-a Laroo Bijoux and Sheri too of Pawsh Poodle .
Stacey and I went to a crummy little flea market yesterday, but...that doesn't mean we came away empty handed. I found these small tin snips...love it!! $2.00, old price on the box $4.50 for the little pair of shoes, so cute!I have had this wonderful vintage enamel plate laying around for way to long, I love the green chippy edge. I painted this cupcake in the center, my friends couldn't decide which one should hold it, so I told them to share...how cute is that!! Check out my ebay.
Thank you again to all that signed up for my little giveaway. Stay tuned...I'm working on something for next Fri. for another giveaway...are you enjoying my giveaways??
