Toy Singer Sewing Machine

It seems like I have been reading on blogs about getting organized...That word and I dont get along! I know where everything is (except my sissors!) But it is never organized...I DONT HAVE TIME, is what I keep telling myself, as I drool over all these wonderful rooms everyone is showing! Well, I just put this little cutie on ebay . I bought it when my daughter was a baby. I decorated with quite a few little sewing machines, vintage patterns and such. It was so cute! But, it is time to share my treasure with another....

Pansy Letterholder

***update*** It wasnt raining when I went to bed at 11 pm...woke up to rain! LOL , so we were able to say AH HA!...Those weather people were WRONG!

I thought I would show you an item that I just put on my ebay. I painted these flowers on this letter holder. There is a touch of gold on the cut edges. Well, our summer is going to be over tonight...they say the rain is coming in tonight at 9:00. I think its funny when they give us a time...then we sit and look at our watch, go out on the front porch to see if the drops are coming...then we say ah ah...those weatherpeople dont know what they're talking about, we come inside at 9:04...at 9:05...It starts pouring...this has happened before lol. so I will give you an update tomorrow as the the time the rain started...I'll be watching my watch ha ha!

Getting into FALL

There was a crispness to the air this morning...ummm fall is in the air...I lost myself for a while today...Do you ever just get into a crafting zone and you cant and don't want to stop?? Well, I got started on this "lace cornucopia" and kept at it until I figured I could call it done! I had more fun making a mess. I spritzed this, rubbed it with metallic ink pads, sponged some gold metallic paint on it, went outside and found some baby pine cones...spritzed those, I sat the little cream birdie on a nest of gold wire. I think that this just calls out Autumn. I also think it would take you through Thanksgiving and Christmas with the color and sparkle..I just put this on EBay...Hope you like it! This post wont let me put a picture in...I'll come back this eve and try again! Please just go to my ebay and take a look.

I thought I would take new pictures...once the sun came out, I wish the sparkle would show up. Now, I have a question...I put these on ebay, all four for $8. I'm wondering if I should have put them on one at a time? Any advice? Let me know! Maybe I'll just make a couple more and test the water...

FALL PUMPKINS

I had soooo much fun today...I'm still on "vacation" or "playing hookie" so I played today...no cooking, no cleaning, just a fun day. I am laughing this eve. because...to make these tags, I went to Calif. to paint them, bought things at a bead shop, 2 scrapbooking stores...came home and today I went to 3 scrapbooking stores, ordered some glittery pens online...I think they are probably the most expensive tage out there lol!! Anyway. I have been asked to make some to sell...I dont know what to sell them for, so I put them on Ebay today...it will be fun to watch!. Those scalloped rectangles were cut out from my new Spellbinder die cut. Well, gotta go, the premier "Survivor" is coming on. Let me know what you think about my tags...I'm venturing out of my comfort zone!

Lace cone with glitter and birdie

I couldnt wait! I had to see how this would turn out...I put on one photo then decided I wanted to add some buttons... these were taken about an hour apart, I didnt even move it. what a difference the sun coming in the room made. I think it turned out pretty cute! I just added it to my Ebay.

For the birds

I went to this wonderful bead shop in Truckee, it had the best ribbon ever! See the ribbon on the right. It is a wire mesh ribbon from Turkey. It looks great around my birds necks!
Went to an Antique shop in Lake Tahoe she had 6 of these stiffened lace cones, I cant wait to put a birdie in one of these!
Then in Sisters there was this stunning ribbon that is used with yarns...oh, but I had another idea in mind ! I actually stiched this onto the bird to keep it poofie. Oh yes, a couple soup spoons!!
When I got home I had my newest toy waiting for me...Its called a wizard and then they sell these dies that cut your paper..I was hoping it would work on my watercolor paper Yahoo!! I Love it!!! Now Im going to go broke getting more of these dies! I think I'm getting into FALL! Do you like my pumpkins?? It takes me longer to figure out what to do with the painting, then doing the actual painting! LOl Hope you enjoyed my pictures!

Vacation!!!

Thanks to all that helped me figure out how to move my pictures around.!! My hubby and I took a mini vacation to California. We went through Mt. Lassen National Park. It was sooo beautiful!
Our destination was Truckee. Dean went fishing on the Truckee River.It is so wonderful . I was able to pull out my watercolors and get a little painting done...Is this not the way to spend a relaxing day. The sun was so bright. See this bag on the left. All my watercolor goodies fit in this bag. I looked all over the place for just the right bag. I found this in the mark down bin, it is waterproof and has 3 large sections...has a place for brushes...its a makeup bag and it is sooo perfect for traveling. I always leave it packed and ready to go. On the right is a water bag that folds up flat! Here is a close up of my messy watercolors
This is a better picture of the Truckee River. I came home with a few goodies that I will share with you tomorrow. This is where we ended our last day. Sisters Oregon is the best!!

Birdies and Teacups for ebay

I couldnt have a TEA PARTY! All these Birdies flew into town and took over my cups!!lol

I've been busy...I have made a few birdies in teacups,this little cream colored bird was perfect for this tiny cup and saucer that just shouted out AUTUMN. The colors are so warm. I went through my stash of buttons and found this great old button and old velvet leaves. I added some vintage pearls and my sparkly topped pins.

The middle tea cup is trimmed in a pretty purple color. I added some vintage millinery flowers and spritzed it all with my glimmer mist.The top is a beautiful vintage cup and saucer that I added a soft pink bird that is joyously sing. I dyed the sprig of berrys to match the flowers on the cup. One of these days I will have to learn how to show a picture and have what it is under it. I thought I could do it, but no...I got all the pictures and then all the writing here at the bottom...can anyone help??? Natasha??? (she helps me with all my blogging issues!) Pink Birdie~Spoonful of Sugar

Once again I would like to send out a BIG Thank You to all of you that have purchased my little birdie creations... I love seeing them on your blogs...it warms my heart!! The comments I receive are so wonderful...This blogging thing is just the best!!! I have just finished a little pink bird on a spoon that I added a touch of glitter to. When it was all put together I spritzed the whole thing with Glimmer Mist, pearl and a pale gold. The pincushion has 2 pieces of vintage lace and an a flower from an old hat. It was rather plain so I touched it with a bit of German Glass Glitter. I added a sprinkling of vintage buttons and topped it off with my pins that I added soft pink glitter to the tops. I am selling this on my Ebay.

Vintage beaded purse collage

I made this "collage" using a vintage beaded purse, millinery flowers, pieces of beautiful lace, buttons, mini perfume bottles and 3 beautiful pieces of jewlery. I added this great lacey hanky.It is all set into a double vintage frame. I am putting this on my ebay this week.

Oregons Best

My husband and I took a wonderful drive up to the mountains this weekend. There is a beautiful hot springs call Belknap. It is soooo beautiful. We hopped into the HOT springs pool for a bit then chilled out along the beautiful river. It was a perfectly glorious day! Not to hot, but nice and warm. Not a cloud in the sky, fall hasnt taken hold yet, the sunflowers were in full bloom. Thought I would share a bit of my day.

Rosemaling on a Rocking Horse

I just put up this rocking horse on ebay. My father cut and built it and I painted in 1983. It was done in oils, and on both sides. It will be interesting to see if there is a market for this style of Rosemaling.

New Birdies for Ebay

Here are a couple new birdies that I put on Ebay. I painted the blue bird card with watercolors. I added a little band of gold glitte around its neck. Have a great weekend!

Wine Bottles and Roses

I painted this watercolor from a still life that I set up, its quite large. I still struggle with painting roses in watercolor. I wanted to try doing glass with liquid, and the glass bottles. It was great fun. The rose that is laying down didnt photograph very well.

Added a Card

I have come across some wonderful crafty card makers in Blog Land. Here are a few that inspire me....Mish Mash , Shabbychick Junk , Vicki Chrisman I decided to sit down and make a card to hold the little tags that go with this black bird. I hand painted the pumpkin with watercolors. I miss placed my battery charger and had to order another one. So I will take a photo of the inside as soon as I can. I have added this to my pincushion on ebay.

Boo the Black Bird

I just finished this one of a kind Halloween , Fall, Autumn, Thanksgiving pincushion. I think this turned out sooo cute. I had this little spray of vintage flowers with fuzzy berries in my stash, the colors are perfect to go with the 60's "Fire King" cup. I glittered the pin heads and made different tags to take this little guy from Sept. thru Nov. I gave him a spritz of gimmer mist so it has a little sparkle to it. I just added this to my ebay today.

Roses painted on Vintage metal holder

I picked up this black metal "page" holder. I wonder if it was used back in the day of the typewriter to hold your paper that you were going to type from. Being metal. It would be a great place to attach a memo with a cute magnet, or to hold that scrapbooking page that you might be working on. I put this on my Ebay starting at a very low price. I painted roses all over it. If you can think of some more uses for this I would love to hear your comments.

Sweet Teacup with Vintage Lace & Pink Birdie

Here is another sweet tea cup that I'm putting ebay today. I was attaching the piece of lace and it was laying over the side of the cup...hummm, looked nice, so I left it. I'm working on a really neat cup for fall...cant wait to show you all!

Sparkly Pink Bird, Tea cup

WoW!! Thank you all for all your support!! Everyone that I have met through this blogging is what keeps me going!! Thank you Thank you!! I had this tea cup and the roses are a darker pink, I already had the birdie dyed a lighter pink...so I got out my sparkly pink fabric paint and washed it all over this bird. It turned out so sweet and glittery. I just put it on Ebay. I will be putting on another one tomorrow.

Cloud 9!

I'm walk'in on clouds!! Jenny from Somerset said my birds would be published in the April 2008 issue of "Somerset Life". Doesn't 2008 sound soooo far away? Thank you everyone for all your sweet comments!

Cup of Sugar!

I just put this little pink birdie pincushion on my Ebay. This teacup is soooo gorgous! It is French Limoge. The pink roses are so sweet and the leaves are minty green. It has 3 pins that were dipped in glitter. I love the handle. This teacup was one I found in the charming little town of Sisters, Oregon. I also put on ebay this sweet ice cream scoop with a little wool black bird.

After and Before

I found this wall sconce and I didnt think it was very attractive so I hung it up and looked at it for a few days. There was a funny dip on the top, it wasnt flat. So I painted it, pink, glazed it, I then gave it a spritz of Glimmer Mist, washed on a little pearl paint, when I got it to the point that I liked, I had to dye some wool to match, for the bird. I added the pin cushion and vintage flowers on both sides then for a hint of sparkle I stuck on some austrian crystals. I placed a piece of vintage velvet ribbon around its neck. I made the leaves out of vintage green velvet ribbon.

Family Photo

Well, my babies are leaving their nest, it is an exciting time for me and them. I thought I would take a couple of family portraits before they fly off to California. Thanks to all of you that have left such kind comments and encourgement!! I love you all!!
