Birdie Pincushion on Nippon China cup

My latest little birdie. Beautiful hand painted NAPPON china cup. I matched the color of the birdie with the blue in the cup. I added a hang tag. I painted the nest with metallic paints
I am adding this sweet cup and birdie to my ebay
I have a bit of exciting news for myself...I was commissioned today to paint a couple of panels at a brand new lodge/resort Moonstone Hotel that is to opening Oct. 1 the Hotel is connected to our "becoming famous" Oregon Gardens . I have to have them done by Fri. I'm putting Daisies on one and Hollyhocks on the other. I'll keep you posted.

Aged Beauty

I just love how this old shoe turned out.. I painted a bird nest and vine on both sides
What to do with all that wire...make shoe laces of course. I add a bead now and then
I tool a piece of copper and punched "nest" then aged it. Instead of ribbon, I thought a ribbon of wire was appropriate.
Heres the other side. looks like I need to add a few more glittered pins! I added beads to the ends of the wire. When I was finished I crackled it and then used metallic paints to shine it up. Love it! Let me know what you think

Pink, Pink, Pink

The perks of making fun things that go on the wall...I hang them up and enjoy until they fly off for someone else to enjoy. Thank you, everyone!!! Oh my goodness. Do you have any idea how great I feel, seeing the response to the little GIVEAWAY. Thank you thank you!! Oh...if you haven't signed up...I'll be picking a winner tomorrow.
Here is a wall sconce that I painted pink. I think its ceramic. I shaded behind the scroll work, then highlighted areas with pearl to make it stand out.
Along with this birdie, you will be getting the handpainted rose on the button pin, and a rose on a charm that I made this morning, which is on a tag that I spritzed with Glimmer Mist. There are a few glittered pins. Look at that beautiful piece of vintage lace, also a bit of vintage millinery. I'll be adding this to my EBAY

Buttons, Birds, Boxes

I am going about this all wrong, and backwards...but tomorrow there is going to be a big bunch of button blog photos going on in blog land. so here is my photo. I'll add the link in the morning...all the photos will be on Analises blog...Sugar*Sugar. Isnt this the cutest little box, I'll tell you..It was UGLY when I got it..It was just a hand made box, but these drawers OH MY, they grabbed me!! The color is just what you see in the photo, with a little gold. So it took a bit of work and layers to get the box to match..I was going to sell it, but you know how it goes...I'm going to have to wait until something else comes along to take its place.lol My little birdie on the left is a work in progress. The one on top is one I sent to Somerset Mag. I'll be putting it out for sell real soon. The one on the right just sold. I'm going to try to get my cupcake charms put on etsy tomorrow...wish me luck.lol.

SPRING Birdie

I took these at the same time. The top one I took outside...it was 7:00 am, the bottom one I took inside. Not sure which one to use!! Let me tell you about this one. The base is a handcrafted piece of pottery. I love the green color! I was going through my vintage millinery flowers and came across a whole hat!! I hadn't used any of it, Not sure how that happened. Well, I immediately tore it apart. The tag said I paid $2.50, what a deal! Ok, here is where the fun came in...I took the netting which was stiff and soaked it until it became pliable and cut out a circle, put it in a bowl and hit it with the hair dryer until it was set...it made the perfect little nest!!! How neat is that!!! It goes perfect with the base. I aged the bird...(oh...I still see the white pin, I'll go get that off!!) I used my beloved Glimmer Mist to age the rayon ribbon. How do you like that tag! I spritzed it with my GM is shimmers, after it was dry I pen and inked the nest and wording. The button is embedded in an aged green sealing wax.
What would my post be like without a photo of my kitties. They are both sharing the Penthouse, of course one is lounging on the "Rooftop" The one inside the Penthouse is usually banned to the basement condo. So today is a "good" day. lol
