Just Chatting with you...and a touch of Aqua

One of my little sewing machines
These child size spoon and fork were in the junk bin...WHAT??!! They didn't see the charm and beauty?!
I picked up this wooden thing, it had an ugly picture in it, It was so easy to cover it with the Glacier Blue crackle med, when dry, I glazed over it with 3 or 4 colors to create age, then I painted the birds nest.

I got some exciting news in the mail. About 6 mo. ago I asked Create and Decorate mag. to look at my flickr to see if they would be interested in me being in their mag. She said she would like a couple of things and gave me a deadline. I missed it for one item...shoot!!! So, I wrote her and said, sorry, I received a letter today saying she still wanted it, and would give me an extra money...What??!! So, I got out my needle felting stuff...I felt kinda funny, when I realized (my Z works now.lol) what the problem was...remember when my kitty ripped my lip open...I had put away my felting (thats what I was doing at the time). Remember when you tell your kids to get back up on the proverbial horse....I didn't think it would be ME. So, I got a grip, got out my needles. sent the kitties to the other room and needle felted...it felt so good (no pun intended...at the time.lol) So, the promise of lots of money got me in gear and I "gotter done". Yea for me (pat on the back)
I got some more good news, but I'll share that tomorrow

Vintage Dressed up Bottle

Oh what fun I had with this bottle. I never know what direction something will take. I love the way this turned out. I started out by adding different size foil tape, then I soldered, aged, then sanded. I made a little charm just for this, I attached it with wire, but it can be removed

I made a wire nest. adding pink eggs, it really looks nice with the hint of lavender that is in the jar
I added Glimmer Mist to the tag then painted a nest with watercolor

If you dont want to put the nest on top...turn the bottle into a vase and lay the nest next to it. I'm putting this on Etsy...

Giveaway Friday

Utah Grammie made one of these dry erase tiles, so I thought I would give it my spin.
I painted this using Folk Art Enamel paints. Have you used those paints? They are not the easiest to work with. you can't use any water and it has to dry before you add any other colors. Anyway. I made me one and one to share. This is my GIVEAWAY Please leave me a message I will pick a winner on Monday.
I have to show you this before and after...I put this little shoe on ebay...(the one above) It didn't sell...so I changed it up, added little roses to the nest, Ribbon instead of wire, I made a few little wool flowers. changed the color of glitter on the pins.

AFTER
I just put this on ETSY... Thank you for all your support!!

I'm scared. lol

I'm taking the plunge....I'm going to list on Etsy. I've had it forever but I'm scared to put anything on it. lol...I'm so comfy using Ebay...so I'm jumping in...aaaaach!
Here are a couple of chalkboards...Yup...they're going on Etsy...lets say I'm sticking my big toe in.
This one up above is done all with chalkboard paints...except the touch of white...I couldn't decide which way to set it up...long or tall
Then I painted another one of these little coaster plates, and crackled it...now for the part I'm scared of...HOW MUCH??? Does it get any easier???

Friday Givaway

Rustic...primitive...thats what I'm calling it..I got a new soldering iron and boy is it good. It melts the solder so fast I had trouble.lol so its not as smooth as I would like, I need to practice practice practice, so, if you like this look and would like to have this little charm with my watercolor nest, leave me a message on this post and a winner will be chosen on Monday
I'm putting this little canvas on my ebay. I rubbed it down with metallic paints, crackled the nest, added the buttons.

Blue Bird~Blackboard~Baby Shoe

Isnt this a beautiful design on this spoon
I've been busy, here is another little plate that I painted with chalkboard paint,
then added a nest with 3 little robin eggs and vine with sweet little berries and leaves,
I added a touch of metallic paint to the branches.
This little blue bird on the spoon is one that was featured in the Somerset Life mag.
Here is the other little shoe (the other shoe is on the copper plate) I wanted to paint and then age this sweet shoe. I used Glimmer Mist then metallic paints, a touch of pearl. Can you see the little soft polka a dots?? I painted a little rose on the toe of the shoe, I dyed the silk ribbons, I wanted the one around her neck to pull out the color in the rose.
I have just listed all these goodies on my EBAY

Spring is right around the corner!!

In honor of spring...I painted this darling metal flowers. I just had to paint a few dew drops (or rain drops, in our case, living in Oregon) on the leaves and petals.
How sweet does she look sitting on top of this pincusion! Just put on my Ebay
This is a 4X5 inch little canvas that I textured. I then made Robins Egg Blue by mixing about 5 colors together.
After painting the nest I added layers and layers of glazes using different metallic paints.
I turned it so you could see the shine.
I sent these pictures to sweet Jenn and Jacqui, they called first dibbies...
remember as a kid calling first dibbies to get to ride in the front seat of the car??
