Pink Saturday and a Giveaway!!

See this little bag...it didn't look like this when Beth at Gathering Dust sent it to me. It was just plain as could be. Well, I spritzed it with a few colors of Glimmer Mist. When it was dry I painted this nest, using metallic paints. I'm going to give this bag away for my "just because" GIVEAWAY!!! Not only am I going to give the bag away...I'm going to put a couple of goodies in it! That part will be a surprise!! So, leave me a message on this post...if you post my giveaway on your blog I'll enter your name twice.
Now on to "PINK" This cup pincushion is on my ebay listing.
This sweet sugar bowl will hold a pincushion real soon, I just purchased it
I made this 3" square "Charm", to go on a tree, or a package, or a wall hanging. I painted both sides. I used 300 lb. hot press watercolor paper. I added it to my ebay.

this plaque is something I painted YEARS ago. It's in oils, I didn't have a clue what I was doing.lol. I don't keep to many things that I paint, this is one of the few.

Little Tiny China Cup

Thought I would share this sweet little cup. The cup is only 2 1/4" high. 5" altogether. I used vintage millinery flowers, vintage ribbon that I dyed using the fabulous glimmer mist. I used light green glitter for my pin tops...I love the color. Well, I added this to my Etsy...it still seems weird to say Etsy, not Ebay.lol.

Blue Bird~Blackboard~Baby Shoe

Isnt this a beautiful design on this spoon
I've been busy, here is another little plate that I painted with chalkboard paint,
then added a nest with 3 little robin eggs and vine with sweet little berries and leaves,
I added a touch of metallic paint to the branches.
This little blue bird on the spoon is one that was featured in the Somerset Life mag.
Here is the other little shoe (the other shoe is on the copper plate) I wanted to paint and then age this sweet shoe. I used Glimmer Mist then metallic paints, a touch of pearl. Can you see the little soft polka a dots?? I painted a little rose on the toe of the shoe, I dyed the silk ribbons, I wanted the one around her neck to pull out the color in the rose.
I have just listed all these goodies on my EBAY

Baby Shoe

OOOOh am I ever having fun. I wanted to get back into soldering, but I wanted to do something that was different, something I really havent seen in blog land...here is my take on the charms...I painted the cupcakes on watercolor paper and framed them. The "big" ones are 1 1/2 square and that tiny one...1" square. I did use the spica glitter pens, they add just the hint of sparkle that I like. I think these would be good to put on my etsy, which I have set up, but haven't used.Let me know what you think. I plan to painting chocolate truffles, cherries...I would love to hear some idea's. Oh, I have painted a birds nest and eggs, thought I would put that in a charm...
Oh the morning sun was shining through my window! Here is another sweet baby shoe...it doesnt really show, but I spritzed it with gilmmer mist, there is the softest hint of antique pink glimmer.
see the hint of glimmer on the toe area...not really? lol

This little guy is on Ebay
I decided it was time...I gathered all my tools and gadgets. Went and bought a tile to put it all on and now I have a soldering station. I found this clip in the paint department at Home Depot it is perfect for holding up the glass for soldering. My soldering iron is about 20 years old. A bit of crud on the tip. I got it cleaned up, still isnt staying hot on the tip, so I plan to get another, anybody have any idea what kind I should get? I would love to hear what is being used out there. No one mentioned my ooops...got my banner just a bit big, dont you think. LOL!!

Found Treasures

I found the most beautiful pink fabric top with rhinestones all over it...I cant amagine wearing it, must be why someone gave it to the goodwill ! lol. Cant you just see it on one of my pincushions!!

Have you seen those bags of jewlery at the thrift shops with a bunch of ugly looking jewelery...I have never purchased any, UNTIL yesterday...see that yellow flowery looking piece, It GRABBED me!! I had to have it!
Thats really about all that was in the bag...see the white rounds, I they were earrings, I tore off the backs, got out my enamel paints and wa-laa. The daisy is the other one like the one I put on yesterdays birdie pincushion, which I will be painting also..
I remembered to take a picture of these gold thingys...
Here are the items I got yesterday...What do you think...pretty good huh!
Here is my latest birdie. It's ceramic. I painted it with white first then added pink pearl paints, I added a pin to the back of that white earring that I painted. Oh what fun I have had the last couple of days! Dont forget to check out my ebay.
