I have been sooo careful about purchasing anything. When you go to a thrist store and you see

This large shelf, what is one to do??? First...look it over...then think, I've seen this in antique stores for a lot of money, and then.....look at the price...it was marked down from 14.99 I paid....are you ready...$8.00

It was stained, solid wood.

Home Depot carries Martha Stewerts paints now

and I found the exact color I needed.

I did a do over (aka - make over)

I have to call it a do over because this week is

Highlights of A Farmers Market

I think you have figured out by now how thrilled we are to have moved to so. Calif. There is so much to see and do, fun things, exciting things. And then when we stumble across something so unexpected it is an extra bonus for the day.

At the Santa Barbara Farmers Market, we kept hearing a loud speaker with someone teaching a cooking class. Not very interested as we had things to do...on the way to the car, we had a choice of how to get there, I suggested we walk through where the loud speaker was...and look we

stumble upon...Cat Cora from the Food Network...Stopped and listened to her for awhile, fabulous. That is her son helping her.

Then we came across a pen where they want you to raise chickens...how sweet is this!

A day at a Santa Barbara Mission

Stacey and I went to 3 Missions. It is her goal to go to all California Missions, I believe there are 23. I think we are about half way there. The day was glorious. Love these pots

One Hot Kitty

Heres the story...When we went to the fair, it was 110, so we bought these towels that stay cold but not wet...really neat...worked great.

so, today it reached 114....unbearably hot. Well, Poodie, likes it in our hot bedroom but he was soooo hot. So, I took the cool towel and draped it over him....He LOVED it (looks like I need to vacumn!)

PINK PINK Saturday

This was a silver tray that I painted and crackled

I forgot about this one. I painted a canvas, added a tin can and one of my little birdies...
