Oh my...I didn't realize I gotten so many goodies, until I got them home and out of their bags. Another pair of baby shoes, silver tray, Limoge cup and saucer, little jar of old white buttons, clear hobnail sugar bow, sweet cream pitcher. Oh and the tin snips...I needed a pair of tin snips for a class I'm going to be taking. All the new tin snips have a serrated edge I want smooth...so my hubby and I went into a pawn shop and the owner had these for $6. He even brought out a piece of tin for me to cut...I love them, they have so much more charm then the new ones...quite frankly, its my favorite find of the day.
My blog has a wonderful new look thanks to my new friend. Erin / The Vintage Pearl
Please take a look at the charms and jewelery she makes... beautiful.
I'm off for the next couple of days...tomorrow I'm taking a Copic Certification class. That should be so much fun...playing with markers all day! Then on Sat. I get to go play with my watercolors and paint yummy chocolates...will she have samples of the Real stuff??I'll let you know.lol.
On Sunday morning I'm going to start on a giveaway...maybe a watercolor chocolate...maybe one of my paper flowers...Please come back on Sunday and check it out!!

Man! I love those tin snips, great old ones are hard to find, all the new ones are made in China and aren't worth 2 cents! What a blessing.

Looks like you hauled in great treasures. I love thrifting finds too.
You art work is so pretty....the nest on the chalkboard is the cutest. I'm looking for a tray to use as a chalkboard & can't seem to find on that has a smooth surface, I'll keep looking.

Laurie, I love the silverplate message board you painted! How clever! And you are such a terrific painter! (I love all things with birds) Yesterday, I went yard saleing and got some great buys, but one thing I wish I had picked up was an old bird cage cookie jar...maybe it's till there??? I sure like your new blog look! It's very pretty!
Have a great Day,
Marilyn

Hi Laurie,
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I hope you weren't offended by the raw subject of a bra. I usually post about decorating. I hope you stop back.
