Spring is right around the corner!!

In honor of spring...I painted this darling metal flowers. I just had to paint a few dew drops (or rain drops, in our case, living in Oregon) on the leaves and petals.
How sweet does she look sitting on top of this pincusion! Just put on my Ebay
This is a 4X5 inch little canvas that I textured. I then made Robins Egg Blue by mixing about 5 colors together.
After painting the nest I added layers and layers of glazes using different metallic paints.
I turned it so you could see the shine.
I sent these pictures to sweet Jenn and Jacqui, they called first dibbies...
remember as a kid calling first dibbies to get to ride in the front seat of the car??

Hi Laurie! It's great meeting you too!! We wish we had an easy answer to how we got that old barn wood as a backdrop on our blog...BUT, we needed a little professional help to get us started. Our initial blog-creating-frustration lead us first to procrastination, then to shelling out some "coins" to make it all happen. :o) We will definitely ask our designer about the steps he took to get it loaded onto our site.

We moved to the beautiful NW from Long Beach a little over two years ago. Don't miss much about Southern CA except, of course, the Pasadena Flea Market and Botanical Gardens. How long have you been here?

Thanks for the warm welcome...I am finding that I have much to learn; but, it's fun, and so nice to meet all of these great people.

It would be wonderful if you mentioned me in your next post. How exciting!

I was also wondering if you do special-order birdies? I think they would fit perfectly into the decor for my girlfriends baby shower that I am planning. I have made a diaper-cake and thought it would be the perfect perch, plus, I need a topper!!! Let me know what you think.
