Spring is right around the corner!!

In honor of spring...I painted this darling metal flowers. I just had to paint a few dew drops (or rain drops, in our case, living in Oregon) on the leaves and petals.
How sweet does she look sitting on top of this pincusion! Just put on my Ebay
This is a 4X5 inch little canvas that I textured. I then made Robins Egg Blue by mixing about 5 colors together.
After painting the nest I added layers and layers of glazes using different metallic paints.
I turned it so you could see the shine.
I sent these pictures to sweet Jenn and Jacqui, they called first dibbies...
remember as a kid calling first dibbies to get to ride in the front seat of the car??

Montacello Antique Shopping

We had A DAY of sunshine this past weekend, so Stacey and I took off and went to a couple new places. We went to the Montacello Antique mall in Portland...wow, so many goodies!! I love getting good deals at thrift shops, but boy! when you go to an antique mall that is chock full of loveliness...what a is a girl to do!?! I had to buy a few little treasures. I've been wanting to make a pin cushion on top of a lid of a neat jar...I found one!! Look at this chair...ooooh, I love it...I could almost keep it! I love the cream vintage flowers...a little spritz of glimmer mist and they will have a lovely color!! Love the old shovel, not sure how to handle that one yet..oh yes, another lovely spoon!!

I changed my banner!! Its been a year...I think it was time...I will be changing it a little more often now that I have this fun new program!!

I'm making progress!

Not only am I making progress getting well, I even got a start on a couple new projects. I found this gold wall thingy...any one know what these are called??
I sprayed the one on the left with "upshot" primer. The one on the right is the way I found it...I have paint it!!
It turned out really pretty, I used a few pinks and a touch of Pearl for a finish. This is how I start out...by trying out different items... I will show you the end result soon.

Blue Bird on Teacup Pincushion

I just finished this woolie blue bird for Faye. I hope she likes it. I added some velvet vintage trim that matches the roses in the vintage cup. The pincushion is covered in vintage lace with old shell buttons and glittered pins. The blue bird brings out the blue in the flower motif.
