Another Treasure

Went to Country Roads in Orange. I found this box with metal sides and bottom. Small enough to put in the suitcase!
Welllll, the Sugarland Concert didn't go so well. We got a great parking spot. But then we had to trudge up a steep gravel trail passing all the people that got there before us. Sitting our chairs down to save our place. Thankfully there was a large tree, a bunch of us sat in the dirt to stay in the shade...it was sooooo hot. Stacey had her ipod yatzee game so we played that for an hour and a half. Then when we got in, we saw an empty spot and proceeded to put down our chairs and some lady screamed at us that was HER spot. So we moved. Everyone was hot and on edge. Was suppose to start at 6:30, but no...it was 7:30. So we sat and sat and sat...it was still soooo hot. Everyone around us started drinking beer and beer and more beer. When the music started, everyone stood up (tired of sitting) guess what...tall people were standing in front of us...couldn't see a darn thing...we listened to the songs for an hour and decided to leave...it was still soooo hot and humid. Not a good experience.

UGH! I thought about you that afternoon! I was hoping it wouldn't be miserable! So sorry. I hate the heat, don't you?

Ugh!

Hope you got relaxed and are well cooled by now!

Too bad about the Sugarland concert. A few years ago, just before they released their first CD (still three of them at that point) they played at Orville Roth's Birthday at the Oregon Gardens. Can you believe they weren't even the lead act? We all KNEW they were gonna go far! That day was the best concert and I know we can never repeat it ... a blanket on the grass listening to a great group and surrounded by friends --- and great BBQ chicken dinner!
Hope the rest of your trip is MUCH BETTER!
