Vintage Dressed up Bottle

Oh what fun I had with this bottle. I never know what direction something will take. I love the way this turned out. I started out by adding different size foil tape, then I soldered, aged, then sanded. I made a little charm just for this, I attached it with wire, but it can be removed

I made a wire nest. adding pink eggs, it really looks nice with the hint of lavender that is in the jar
I added Glimmer Mist to the tag then painted a nest with watercolor

If you dont want to put the nest on top...turn the bottle into a vase and lay the nest next to it. I'm putting this on Etsy...

New Fall Birdie

I just love it when one of my birdies lands on its new home, and it all comes together... I think this would look so great mixed in with old silver, pumpkins, and leaves
I found this wonderful piece of lace to use, pieces of old jewelry, old buttons
The little heart looks washed out, but it is just charming...oh oh oh...I also included this little bottle of mica. I also did a little watercolor on a hang tag...a nest on one side and a pumpkin on the other. I love this old sugar bowl, it has the most beautiful soft patina on it.
I really need to work on my photography skills, everything looks washed out...I know one thing that I am doing wrong, I have it on the lowest resolution because I dont know how to downsize for blogging, if anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them....I just added this little guy to my EBAY button in on the sidebar at the top.

Bottles and Patterns

I love seeing "works in progress" so I thought I would show you what I have been working on...
Vintage bottle toppers, my plan is to add altered art to the fronts
I dont have this sweet little bottle cleaned up yet...
I was at an antique store downtown yesterday and purchased a whole box of patterns, I will be adding them to Ebay. How sweet are these kittens!!

This looks like a dress Natasha Burns would use be using for one of her beautiful paintings
