Silver Plate Chalkboard

Out in the country of Oregon, spring is on its way...a little slow, but on its way. Please go look here The Ferrier's Daughter to see more wonderful photos.
Heres a little silver plate that I painted with chalk board paint then painted a little nest. It going on my Ebay. The little bear I made in my "bear making" stage of life. How cute is this tiny little grungy silk shirt with the torn pocket. They sewed the snaps on with different colored threads. I just love it. It is filled with buckshot...a very heavy bottom!!
I highlighted with my metallic paints to give a little extra glimmer. It goes so well with the patina on the plate.

My dear friend Vicki had one of these on her blog, please go check it out, she tells how she made it. So this is my take on it...I sprayed mine with glimmer mist and put ink on the edges.

I love the idea of the chalkboard paint on the silver. I have used it before, but never on metal. It looks charming that way.

Cute flower too.

Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog Laurie. I have definitely bookmarked yours...those little birdies you make are to die for!
And thanks for the link to the flower tutorial, I think I have just the project for those. :-) The chalkboard piece is great... nests were my favorite fun thing to paint...whenI used to paint.

Super idea with the tray! I love the bird nest touch. Spring is slow in coming to North Idaho I'm afraid, it is snowing as I type! Yikes!
