Brushes

o

Well, I heard a crash in the middle of the night...so, I know its my kitties up to no good...and sure enough, one of them managed to get behind one of my containers of brushes and knocked it over. So, as I was picking them up I decided to share some of my most unusual brushes with you...
I don't know if you guys ever go to conventions, but I use to go to a Tole and Decorative conventions...there is a lady there that can make a brush sing...everyone had to have one, you get it home, ummmm, it doesn't sing...can you guess which brush that might be? one brush is for softening things, one is for scrubbing in cheeks, one is great for painting ribbons. That 4th one down from the top...if you load it JUUUUst right, it will make the Loooongest line. (how many times do you need to make a looooong line? lol. one is a very small flat...try double loading one of those!! Well, thats all I have for today.

Laurie, I'll bet you're like me when it comes to brushes. I take very, very good care of them! Know how to make them soft again after lots of use? Hair conditioner! Even on the brushes you use to paint walls! Works like a charm!

I would guess the 'singing' brush is the fat one in the middle...you know, "...'til the fat lady sings'...? Cute post.

I miss my kitties. They were always doing something mischievous.Thank you for the post, it reminded me that I need take good care of my brushes, I usually set them down and forget about them. When I come back they are dried to the paint can.

Love my brushes! I need to paint again before I forget - and with your great examples and inspiration, maybe I will have something done before spring!!

Kitty paws are dear hearts...we adopted twins from a shelter 2 years ago this week...MY-O-MY! They are double trouble! I had to put a screen door to my studio to keep them out...nope! Little critters still find a way out there & CHEW on my brushes. ***sigh*** When caught, they simply walk in an give a hug-rub...can't stay mad~
:)
Wishing you wonderful things~

I have a wide assortment of odd brushes too. And a mild addiction to buying new ones. I have to control myself at the art store, but I almost always look. :)
