ABrief Interuption....

I thought that I still had time to procrastinate just a bit longer. At least I ordered my digi boxes...they've been sitting in the closet for 2 weeks...and TONIGHT...they cut me off. ITS NOT TIME!! LOL...I wasn't ready! lol...So I got busy...In a hurry...American Idol was coming on in 10 min. Hurry hurry, read briefly through the instructions...hurry hurry. Its says...do BOTH tvs at the same time...hurry, to the bedroom...hurry...plug, plug, plug this into that, that into this....NOTHING!!! Urgggg!. It keeps saying to call the cable co....WHY?? I did everything RIGHT. So I call...she very kindly says...read me the numbers on the back of the new little boxes...WaaLaaa.....IT WORKED. So then...I wanted to Tape something...yes..we still have a recordable VCR...It wouldn't work...so I called (no messing around this time) he said..."you'll have to get a splitter and run one cable from here to there and split the other and run it from there to here and ..... We'll off to Radio Shack in the morning...he said "Make sure it is a GOOD quality splitter. So...I really don't think I missed much...did I??? What if they showed the person that will end up being the American Idol??!!! Whew, I'm tired now...bye

I'm just thrilled to hear you actually got to talk with TWO humans about your problems...that's pretty unique now, don't you think? I usually get to be on hold for eons with the worst elevator music in the world repeating itself over and over in my ear...haha.

Hope you didn't miss anything too exciting. You know, you can go online to the network websites and watch a lot of shows the day after they air...just in case you really want to see the whole program, not just a recap.

Good luck with your 'splitting'!

I need a hook up like STACEY - braces and all! LOL

Thanks for reminding me. Gotta run. I have the dvr set up to tape AI, and I need to watch it before I go to work this afternoon :)

I love American Idol ~ I don't know that any of them last night will be "the" one though! But very entertaining to watch!
As for your last comment, it reminds me of going out to eat with my two sons (22 and 19). I can ask for a drink refill and get ignored. But one of my handsome guys asks the waitress, and they are back with it in less than a minute! :)

You have more courage than I do, Laurie. I'd probably have trashed the thing. I have no patience for technology. *sigh* Only with paints, needles and thread and fabric.

I detest trying to do anything with electronics! You were lucky to speak with someone that could explain in a way you understand.

I was so excited when I received my little spoon easel with the rose. It's now sitting so beautifully in my curio cabinet. ♥ Diane
