Just a quick note

For two weeks I have had something that has bothered me and I have tried to figure it out...and then at 4:00 AM this morning I figured it out in my sleep!!! Remember how I said I had a horrible rash on my face after the stitches...I thought it might be the bandages, I thought it might be the antibiotic, I just couldn't figure it out..it was an odd shape...and covered a big area...so at 4 am it hit me! It was the antiseptic that they swabbed on me...I remember the Dr. putting in on and it dripped down my cheek and he dabbed at it with a piece of gauze...now I need to call the Hospital and find out what they used so I don't ever have it near my face!! Just thought I would share....lol

I think you are on to something there Little Miss. If it was rust color looked like iodine it's most likely Betadine. If so many people are very sensitive to it.:(

I'm headed back to the hospital after coming home for a shot of caffeine and a shower. Will report on my blog the differences in Medical care between the two countries. So far what I've seen I'm way way impressed!!

OH NO! Don't you love the way you can think really good in the middle of the night! Do find out what it was so hopefully you won't have to go through this again!

It's funny how we can solve our problems while we sleep ! Sharon

Don't you just love those 4 AM, sit up and shout, "Eureka" moments?? How many times our subconscious takes over and finds the answers we've been seeking. Wonder why it doesn't work at 4 PM..haha.

Laurie, I've had those "AHA" dream moments too!
I'm allergic to bandaids. The pharmacist said to use cortisone on the rash. Wonder if that would help you? It helped make my rash go away.
I use paper tape and gauze now as a bandaid - never those plastic ones again!
