New Product

I've seen this advertised so I bought some to try. I used the matte today...it didn't bubble and it dried very quickly...so I'll be trying it again...and again.lol. gotta use it up, now that I have it.

I've been racking my brain (not sure what that saying means for sure.lol) trying to remember waaaay back 29-30 years ago....I took a oil painting class from a very strange lady, the classes were great, I had lost our first baby a few mo. before and my husband thought it would be good for me (little did he know what road it was going to lead me on. lol) Anyway, my memory just isn't there for me. We mixed some wax with "something" and with the oil paints and after painting the picture...we layered and layered colored wax....like encaustic, but not...so I have been trying to research what I could have mixed with the wax.
I even remember the coffee tin, I can remember stirring the wax as it melted...but not what I mixed it with. So today at the art store I found some "cold wax" that feels good, I'm going to give it a try...because...I am only down to 4 projects and I need to keep my numbers up.lol.

Went down to Bi Mart and asked the lady what she suggested for my lip...Vit. E Yeah!

Hey Laurie,
I just read your previous post. I've been seeing a commercial for some time now about a product to put on fresh scars to make them fade to almost nothing. I can't remember what it's called but if you ask any pharmacist they can tell you. You've got to use the stuff while the scar is fresh though.

Phyllis I think it's called Mederma. That sounds like an interesting technique Laurie. Please post if you find out more about it.

Laurie, Would the wax have been mixed with turpentine? I haven't painted, but I was a Bob Ross fan & watched his painting classes on PBS many years ago before we had cable. ☺ Diane

Hello Laurie!
I like it when someone recommends a product they have actually used-thanks! Wish I could help you with the oil technic but I don't know anything about that. I do know that vitamin E is great for healing. I had a serious spinal surgery 10 years ago. When I first had it done people would often stare-I know they were wondering if someone tried to slash my throat or something-because that is what it looked like. I tend to scar terrible so I was pretty worried. I babied the heck out of that wound with vitamin E and to this day it is hard to tell I ever had anything done. Only when I swallow can you see any mark at all. I am very lucky and thankful for that miricle cure-ggod luck you are on the right track! Hope you have a good week~smiles~Tam!
