I think I'm getting a little worn out. I went to write this post and realized yesterday I said it was Sunday. Oops.
Oh the list of things to do, changing address, canceling comcast cable, taking down pictures and shelfs, packing up the good china....and....getting a new pair of glasses..
I took a break to go see if I could get new glasses...Jeez, the price!!! Shocking. I want to get progressive bifocals and transition...do any of you have transition?? Do you like them?
Then I shopped around for the best price on exams, big price differences...why? they are all doing the same job, shouldn't they be the same price?
I ended up coming home without an exam and without any glasses. I decided to wait until I get to Calif. Think they'll be more expensive down there? We don't have sales tax, but it seems like things are more expensive here.
I just thought I'd share whats going on.....

Little Miss,
Will write more in morning with my morning caffeine. But I HATED my transitions!!!!! So much so that I had them removed and just clear progressive lenses put in. Ohhhhhh and progressives are wonderful!! :)

You need to check out the cost of examines and glasses at Costco. My daughter says they are very reasonable. As far as California being cheaper, well don't want to burst your bubble BUT sure wasn't when I lived there on anything!
Oh wow - you are busy. I think I'd be super exhausted by now

You are so busy no wonder you didn't realize what day it was! I love my transitions. My new pair is a technology that is different than the ones I've had - I think they are called At Last and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them! They are 'ground' and transitioned with some angles to the side so there's not the amount of sudden change. I adjusted to them immediately and they are the best thing since I had to quit wearing contacts! Check Costco for exams and glasses - I understand they have a competitive price. See you soon,

Love progressives, but haven't had the bravery to try the transitions - seems like they'd never fully clear - at least in the past..
Yes, glasses ARE very expensive..I think you need to call around - I had my last ones done at Pearl Vision..
We are packing and moving too! it is very tiring in deed. We are going to have a garage sale too to get rid of things. I have so much, I guess I didn't realize all I did have until I started packing.LOL
Take care and keep us posted! on your move.
hugs, Elizabeth
Laurie, best of luck with your new move. Not sure I would want to move far away, but if I had to, I would. I just went for my eye exam and decided I couldn't afford the transtion glasses, and I'm so used to bifocals that I stayed with the same and got an extra pair of prescription sunglasses. The bright sun we have is not helping. Good luck in California. Hugs, Pat
