I thought I would check in with you...I'm working on new felted goodies that I will reveal on Pink Saturday. On Wed. I had a fight with a brand new Dell computer that the company I work for, bought for the office...It didn't like Firefox...so we had to go around it....3 1/2 hours later. It gave me such a headache!!!. Then my boss came to do his monthly report...he gave me 100, do you think he knew how bad I needed that?! I woke up at 5 am two mornings in a row...ugh! This morning, I just needed a break...I took off around 11 am and headed to this little town called Newberg...It was such a beautiful drive...We are located in the Willamette Valley. Mountains to the east and to the west...a sprinkling of snow still on them. Blue sky. Daffodils in bloom. I started relaxing...I went to a new Fiber store where the sell Drum Carders and Spinning Wheels. It was fascinating. I came away with a lot of information and a bag of sparkly fibers. Thumbed through new books. It was so enjoyable. Stopped at an Antique Shop and right as I was ready to leave I saw a old pair of wool hand carders...They are really old...but still had all their teeth, so, for $15 I bought them (new ones can run $75 and up) I figured I could sell them if they didn't work...but oh they work beautifully!!! I'll take a photo in the morning to share with you. Have a wonderful evening!

Oh what fun! So glad to hear I'm not the only one who fights with computers. Congrats on the wool carders! What a find. Not sure if my Mom still has hers. My brother was on a school trip to Old Salem, NC and on the historical tour he answered all the questions(we grew up 2 hrs away and visted Williamsberg VA frequently) The Guide got snippy with him when he knew what a spoon mold was and when he replied we owned one she told him it wasn't possible. My Mom spoke up then and corrected her. I just love all the old stuff! It is so fun to rummage in the antiques!

I'm just back from Little Rock and catching up...my, you have been busy! Stacey received the most wonderful birthday presents...so personal and lovely. Of course, you know me..I love the little cats! The striped one looks just like my sister's cats (which I met while in Little Rock, by the way). Delightful little tabbies! You are still 'at it' with the wonderful felt creations! I better get over to ebay and see what, if anything, is still there. Take care. Oh, my word verification is 'blessen'...which is what we Southerners say before we eat..haha.
