Paper Flowers

A while back I had a giveaway...I gave away these French music flowers...well I met a new friend because she won one of my flowers...wait until you see what she did with it, its wonderful.
If you get a chance go meet Michaele

Little Tiny China Cup

Thought I would share this sweet little cup. The cup is only 2 1/4" high. 5" altogether. I used vintage millinery flowers, vintage ribbon that I dyed using the fabulous glimmer mist. I used light green glitter for my pin tops...I love the color. Well, I added this to my Etsy...it still seems weird to say Etsy, not Ebay.lol.

...and I was worried...

This is my latest little sugar bowl...
It was a lot of fun...I couldn't do it again... The primer reacted to the paint and crackle med. which made crackles before it was suppose to...anyway, it has a very unique crackle on it.

So, I was worried about going to Etsy. A few nice gals asked me to join their group (thats the badge below) so I did, and my birdies flew out of Etsy, wow! So now I'm breathing, swimming along nicely...and panicking! lol. I've got to get to work on some more. How much fun am I having!!! Oh yes, If you would like a chance at my dry erase board I will GIVE IT AWAY on Monday. Thank you everyone!

Giveaway Friday

Utah Grammie made one of these dry erase tiles, so I thought I would give it my spin.
I painted this using Folk Art Enamel paints. Have you used those paints? They are not the easiest to work with. you can't use any water and it has to dry before you add any other colors. Anyway. I made me one and one to share. This is my GIVEAWAY Please leave me a message I will pick a winner on Monday.
I have to show you this before and after...I put this little shoe on ebay...(the one above) It didn't sell...so I changed it up, added little roses to the nest, Ribbon instead of wire, I made a few little wool flowers. changed the color of glitter on the pins.

AFTER
I just put this on ETSY... Thank you for all your support!!

Spoonful of Sugar***Birdie

Spoonful of Sugar. It's been awhile since I've made one of these. In honor of my big move to Etsy I went back to my beginning. I had never heard of blogging. I just started selling these on Ebay, when I sold the first one I was so thrilled. I wish I had kept track of how many of these I have been able to share over the last year. Holly of Hollydoodle and Ausie Natasha Burns pulled me into blogging. I told them I can't write, why would anyone want to visit "my" blog. They encouraged me by saying "Be yourself, just put your birdies on"...bloggers will come...and come you did. I don't know why I'm making such a fuss about going over to Etsy...I think it was the environment that I grew up in. I was never told that anything I did was any good...I wasn't told it was bad...but I was never encouraged...So I don't have a lot of confidence in myself... Thats why I do Ebay...I can set a lower price, and if it is liked it will sell. By going to Etsy I have to set a price. I really have a hard time with that. One thing I have learned..."I will try anything" so here I come Etsy.

Pearls of Wisdom

Ok, I got my toe wet....now on to dunking my foot in...lol Pearls of Wisdom...putting this girl on Etsy. (....breathe...) Thank you everyone to your encouragement!!!

I'm scared. lol

I'm taking the plunge....I'm going to list on Etsy. I've had it forever but I'm scared to put anything on it. lol...I'm so comfy using Ebay...so I'm jumping in...aaaaach!
Here are a couple of chalkboards...Yup...they're going on Etsy...lets say I'm sticking my big toe in.
This one up above is done all with chalkboard paints...except the touch of white...I couldn't decide which way to set it up...long or tall
Then I painted another one of these little coaster plates, and crackled it...now for the part I'm scared of...HOW MUCH??? Does it get any easier???

Camouflage
You can find this on my EBAY (along with this sweet birdie)

Granny's Chair

I don't have much that belonged to my granny, but I do have this Bentwood chair. It is so comfy, I use it at my sewing machine. I hope you enjoyed my bit of RED.
Have you all been to a store where an item will actually talk to you..it says "me!" pick me" Thats what happened here. I had a couple of other goodies in my hands when I came across this beautiful sugar bowl. I couldn't ignore the plea to come home with me. I put the other things away and came back to this one item. It is soooo beautiful. The little roses...aaaaah. I cant read the markings on the bottom.
I added lots of sparkly glittered pin and buttons, even to the back.

I'm back for another addition.

I got all 50 done and shipped. 150 of those little buttons...I sewed floss on them all...uuuugh!
Staceys black sofa......I guess we didn't get the pillows pushed down. oh well. The curtians that she made behind the sofa are the same color as the two pillows
See the studs...those are the best!! But, how pretty are Bug (black) and Pood (orange)
Isn't this photo soooo funny, this is why a black couch is a good idea.LOL Bug totally disappears except those little spots of white

My Red Wed. Part III

Stacey took this picture of cherries at Pike Market in Seattle

Tomatoes at sunset...I wanted strong lights and darks, I think I captured that. lol. I just wanted to get these on, I'm on my way to Staceys Place, to get a photo of her couch. Check back.

Special Addition

Heres a late addition...Do you remember that black sofa that my daughter wanted at the Z Gallery at Bridgeport, that cost a small fortune...They called her today and said they would sell her the floor sample for 60% off...WOW. So she called me hyperventilating...MOM!!! WE HAVE TO GO
N*O*W!!! So in a flurry, I called my husband saying " HELP ME!!!" So he was able to rush home (remember here, she is an only child.LOLOLOL) So...not knowing anyone with a pickup at a moments notice...off we went to rent a truck from Home Depot...drove a half an hour praying it wouldn't rain...oh yes...a very large black cloud was hanging about. We called ahead and got dinner to go from our favorite Pastini. I ran and got that, Stacey went in to finish paying for the couch, my husband tried to find a place to park....All is well, Stacey is happy, I'll take a photo tomorrow. My little canvas'...will be done tonight!! Yea!

Red day II / Canvas

Here is my "RED" for the day...this is a set-up that I did for a watercolor painting.
I really like how this turned out. It was an old canvas that needed a make over. I smoothed texture medium on the edges. Soft Pinks, Robins Egg blue. I put a board behind the canvas to hold the wire that is holding on the little can. I looked and looked on the computer for just the right font, this is the one I decided to paint . This is an 8 X 10 canvas. This is going on Ebay
The winner of my chocolate charm is Becky.

RED!

Sadie Olive is having a "RED" party...Here is my sweet little vintage sewing machine toy.
I think I have shown this before, but my most favorite "RED" toy is this little vintage red wagon, I paid a small fortune for it about 15 years ago, and I have never regretted it.

Aged Beauty

I just love how this old shoe turned out.. I painted a bird nest and vine on both sides
What to do with all that wire...make shoe laces of course. I add a bead now and then
I tool a piece of copper and punched "nest" then aged it. Instead of ribbon, I thought a ribbon of wire was appropriate.
Heres the other side. looks like I need to add a few more glittered pins! I added beads to the ends of the wire. When I was finished I crackled it and then used metallic paints to shine it up. Love it! Let me know what you think

Oh Oh OH!!!! PINK CHALKBOARD PAINT!!!!

Look at this new product!!!! Its made by Folk Art. PINK it comes in 7 colors. I wanted to try it out before I got more...works like a charm!!
I'll put this pink chalkboard on Ebay.
Stacey and I went to the Famous Iris garden...its about a mile from where I live. Obama visited a couple of weeks ago. Martha Stewart visited last year..has put it in a couple of issues of her mag. It really is beautiful...acres and acres of beauty.
Sadie Olive is doing a "red" week. Here is my RED poppie
14 done...36 to go. My local art store had a few, they ordered 50 for me. They didn't arrive, and I have a deadline (I think he forgot to put in the order) anyway 10 came in. What are the chances of them not coming in on the next order...I really want to have these done and sent by next Friday and he's HOPING they will be in on FRIDAY...I'm getting a little nervous...so I got on the phone, found 3 shops that had some...so off to Portland we went...by the end of a long day, I now have my 50 canvas. So, heres the story, I was contacted by some gal who saw one of these on my ebay and asked if I could do 50 and have them shipped to her for 2 different baby showers. She said she was in Georgia. After negotiations I found out she was from this company...Entertainment Design Group www.goedg.com Check it out if you have a chance...its a "WOW" company, I am honored that I was contacted.
