Treasure Hunting Friday

I found this cup in my cabinet and thought it would be perfect for putting a pincushion in it. I added a few beautiful glass and shell buttons. A couple of little vintage velvet flowers. I glittered the pin tops and a piece of jewlery. I just put this on my Ebay

I did just a bit of treasure hunting today...what fun I had!! Look at these adorable salt and pepper shaker, they have glass inserts that screw off the bottom.
And this silver cup holder with little roses all around it...I think it might just be perfect for a pincushion. What do you think??
Then I came across a pair of black flower earrings...Look at the size!! They are huge, I would have loved to see the lady that wore these! lol. Then I found a vintage screw-on pair with a beautiful pearl in the center...they are soooo heavy. I am going to hang it from a vintage bottle as seen on this beautiful site... http://junk2jewels.typepad.com/
Then I just HAD to buy this sweet table...It was $10...I have the perfect place for it...I love the detail. It is authintically old. The trim is robins egg blue
Well, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I didn't realize that I haven't blogged since Monday...where did the week go?? I didn't even get a pincushion made...I do have a few in the works, I'm working on a teacup and another spoon, so stay tuned!!

You hit the jackpot! My favorite is the cup you found in your own home. But what wonderful other things you found. Thanks for sharing them with us. Let us see what you do with each of them - please. ~Adrienne~

P.S. - Have you been to the antique mall up on the hill in Oregon City? If not I can give you directions. It's a great place to browse and shop. I think you would enjoy it.

I have been looking at your latest pincushions. I love what you do with them. Beautiful designs with the great buttons and birds. I may have to make one for my craft area. I have some family antique tea cups and saucers that need to be used again. Thanks. Lisa
