It's super salty, right? I've never tried it, and I'm OK with that! Cute cat! I'm glad someone enjoyed it!

Oh Laurie, no!! Well it couldn't be too bad if the cat likes it, they are fussy eaters no? Too strong, too salty? Just too yuk? Shame, I guess through it is an acquired taste!! It's an Aussie thing LOL Glad your computer is back :) J & J xo

I've always wondered what it tastes like! Good for you for giving it a try.

We all love it in my family:0) Especially on toast!

Oh Laurie maybe you should have spread it a bit thinner (looks too thickly spread for me) and had it on toast. Maybe those crackers you had it on were too salty!!

I don't know of very many of us Yanks that like it - I wonder why that is? Don't know what's good for us, I suppose! Love, Esther

Hi there!

I don't mind it, but do tend to change my mind about it! We also have Marmite here in the UK that looks and tastes the same.

You should try it on buttered toast. That's how we have it.

Hugs, Sarah (UK)

This is so funny!

Nice blog, I like all your vintage things! I found you on Adrienne's blog!

Oh dear! - think you may have not spread thinly enough - I love vegemite (Ok so I'm an Aussie) but those Salada's have got way too much for me.

I agree with Sarah - try it on buttered toast & remember you don't need much!

I absolutely adore you little birdies - they are so scrumptious!

Laurie LOL you are so funny! You have spread it way too thick!!! It needs to be super super thin, like barely there thin, and on top of butter or margarine or spread. I love Vegemite and can't live without it but I can't stand it on saladas like that without butter.... it really is different with something underneat to cut the sharpness. oh and for an extra treat it's great with a bit of vintage cheese (thin slice) on top of it too. I think you would maybe find it passable if you tried it these ways, LOL!!!
